May 13, 2003 Human Resources has advised CUASA that the renewal of the existing benefit plans will result in the following premium increases that will be reflected on your next paycheque (Thursday, May 14, 2003): Basic Life Insurance [100% employee paid] - rate per $1,000 of coverage increased to $0.37 (from $0.34) for a 9.7% increase Long Term Disability Insurance [100% employee paid] - rate will increase by 9% Dental Care [employer and employees split premium increases 50/50] - overall rate will increase by 6% - employees will pay 3% more There is no change in rates for the Extended Health Care and Optional Life Insurance plans.
