CUASA Council Unanimously Expresses Support for Indigenous Hires at Carleton

This past Wednesday, at its meeting for January, CUASA Council members unanimously passed a motion to express its support for CUASA working with the Carleton administration to bring ten new Indigenous hires to the University over the next two years.

The motion passed reads as follows:

CUASA expresses its support for the ten new Indigenous hires, and strongly encourages the administration to expedite the process. Crucial to this hiring strategy is a plan for equity, and support for new Indigenous faculty.

CUASA was proud to issue a joint statement today with Carleton announcing this initiative. You can read that statement here.
