CUASA Members Honoured for Teaching Excellence

CUASA is proud to congratulate ten of our outstanding members who have recently received awards for their teaching.
Peggy Hartwick (School of Linguistics and Language Studies) was one of five winners of the 2015 Brightspace Innovation Award in Teaching and Learning for demonstrating innovation and promoting student-centered teaching and learning.
Maria DeRosa (Chemistry) and Troy Anderson (Sprott School of Business) were among the 18 winners of the 2015 Capital Educators’ Awards. Selected from among elementary, secondary and post-secondary educators in Ottawa, the winners were recognized for their ability to connect the classroom to the real world.
Simon Power (Economics), Peter Thompson (Canadian Studies) and Jim Davies (Cognitive Science) all received the Provost’s Fellowship in Teaching Award.
Eva Kartchava (School of Linguistics and Language Studies) recieved both the Excellence in Teaching with Technology Award and a New Faculty Excellence in Teaching Award. Anne Trépanier (Canadian Studies) has also been honoured with a Teaching Technology Award.
Jeffery Erochko (Civil and Environmental Engineering) and Stacy Douglas (Law and Legal Studies) have also earned the New Faculty Excellence in Teaching Award.
