Payroll Plan Post-Ratification

Now that the new collective agreement has been ratified, Human Resources has provided CUASA with the following information for the next few pays:

  • June 28th pay date:
    Retirees as of June 30, 2018 will have all salary adjustments so their pensions are calculated properly
    All the stipends will be increased
  • July 30th pay date:
    2017 Scale increase and one-time adjustment
  • August 14th pay date:
    2017 CDI increase
  • August 30th pay date:
    2018 Scale increase
  • September 13 pay date:
    2018 CDI increase

Should there be any changes to this information, they will be communicated in future releases.

Call for Committee Volunteers

CUASA is looking for members to volunteer to serve on the following committees:

  • A Parity Committee for Instructors, which will review the Instructor rank at Carleton and issue recommendations to be brought to JCAA for consideration.
  • A committee on Teaching Evaluations, which will be tasked with investigating and issuing recommendations on the introduction of Teaching Dossiers into the evaluation of teaching effectiveness, and to analyze discrimination in the teaching evaluations and make recommendations to JCAA.
  • A committee on Digital Learning, which will develop recommendations on workload and compensation associated with digitally-based course development and delivery.
