Article VII: Committees
- There shall be Standing Committees of the Council on:
- Collective Bargaining
- Finance
- Nominations and Elections
- Grievance Policy and Administration
- Internal Affairs
- Equity
- The membership and duties of the Standing Committees shall be as outlined in the bylaws.
- Standing Committees shall report to Council as per the bylaws or at the request of the committee chair, the President or Council.
- The Executive Director or other employees of the Association shall serve as a member (with voice only) of a committee upon request of the Steering Committee.
- The President shall be an ex-officio member of all Standing Committees and of all ad hoc committees which Council may establish from time to time.
- The members of each Standing Committee including the Chair shall be elected by the Council. Terms of service shall be as outlined in the bylaws.
- Each Standing Committee shall meet at the call of its chairperson, or at the call of any two of its members.
- Only members of the Association elected by Council shall be permitted to vote at a committee meeting.
- A Standing Committee may appoint temporary sub-committees and assign them such duties as it deems advisable.
- The Council may establish such ad hoc committees as it may deem advisable.
